DE: Man Shot by Bail Bondsman Identified as Marshall Overby

The bondsman was pursuing Marshall Overby, 35, when a fight between the two came to a head in the backyard of a home on Stratford Road. Police say the bondsman fired one shot at Overby.

A frantic 911 call came in from the shooter around 2:30 p.m., moments after he shot Overby, asking for police and an ambulance.

During the call, the bondsman tells a dispatcher he was chasing Overby because he missed court. Overby has a long list of convictions and charges in several counties in the Triad.
